Pigments and precious metals are applied and hand-painted onto each product, reflecting the Manifattura’s artisanal expertise. Exuberant. Exotic. Enchanting. A stylized flower—known in the tradition of Florentine ceramics as the “carnation” motif and reinterpreted by Gio' Ponti in 1946—evokes distant memories in the Collezione Oriente Italiano. The gracefulness of the diaphanous tones of dawn and dusk glides across the porcelain like a musical symphony. This is the scene of the “Collezione Oriente Italiano” Collection on the “Antico Doccia” form, where airbrushing and imaginative use of color create a marvelous decorative interplay. Blue on a light blue, yellow, green, or pink background; black on an ice-blue or green background; burgundy on a pink background; white on a sky blue background; and pink on a light pink gradient background—these are the colors that blend together to create compositions rich in balance.
