Description
The magnificent Queen Victoria is one of the oldest and best-known motifs of the Herend porcelain manufactory. Created in the Far Eastern style, this design features nearly a hundred different types of butterflies and flowering branches painted in vibrant colors. A dinnerware set decorated with this eye-catching, colorful motif was awarded the Grand Prize of the Jury at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851. Its success was truly sealed when Queen Victoria of England commissioned a complete dinnerware set featuring this design for her palace. The design has retained its popularity to this day. As a result of Herend’s product development, it has already been reimagined in many new variations based on innovation rooted in tradition.
