Set of 6 Dinner Plates, 26.5 cm – Granduca Coreana – Richard Ginori / Ginori 1735

It is 1750, and Florentine noblewomen are expressing, through their attire, a renewed taste for floral découpage inspired by the decorations on Japanese imperial kimonos. This rediscovered appreciation for Eastern aesthetics gave rise to our wonderful design known as “alla Coreana.” The collection includes plates, cups, and other tableware items made of pure porcelain that evoke spring, love, and feminine beauty, harmoniously united by the iconic Antico Doccia shape. These are values that traditional Asian iconography associates with the peony (“Mudan” in Chinese), the exquisitely fragrant flower that takes center stage in the entire design. Browse all the porcelain pieces in the collection below to create a table setting with a delicate and lively style, distinguished by a rich oriental flair.
