Description
From 1923 to 1933, Gio Ponti served as artistic director of the Ginori Manufactory, and in 1926, his boundless creativity gave rise to numerous designs. Among these is a sophisticated intertwining of straight lines that, as they chase one another without ever touching, create a sense of movement, vertigo, and disorientation. A Labirinto, in fact. One in which it’s wonderful to get lost. Where there are no longer any coordinates—up and down, right and left. Where ancient and modern are no longer “before” and “after” but a single design: a pattern that repeats in four color variations —black, Scarlatto, emerald, and Zaffiro—on all the porcelain plates, tea and coffee cups, trays, and bowls in the collection.
