It’s called La Boule Kyoto and is the latest 2026 version of Villeroy & Boch’s iconic Boule series, inspired by harmonious Japanese style: a design featuring sculptural forms and neutral colors interspersed with intense hues, paying homage to the country’s renowned craftsmanship while embracing the latest trends in interior design, where timeless elegance meets refined details.
The pattern of the new La Boule Kyoto combines simple, geometric lines with designs depicting cranes—the elegant birds that symbolize longevity and good fortune in the Land of the Rising Sun. The shapes and motifs of this new La Boule also evoke the fabrics and patterns of the kimono, the famous and historic Japanese garment, creating a perfect fusion of modern design and ancient tradition.
